ARDFC Christmas card
fundraiser – instructions
We are selling 3 cards to raise funds
for
our Congo project
– $10, $25 and $50 cards.
Printing information
There is a separate pdf print file
for
each card; each file has both
the
front and back of the card and
is
set
up to print 3 cards per page:
$10 card
$25 card
$50 card
Card Size: 8 x 3.29 inch
Pages in file: 2 pages per file (front/back)
Colour: 4/4 (full colour)
Paper: choose a heavier paper – perhaps 100# – or card stock
Cutting – Printer should cut cards all around

Preparing to sell cards
You should either take/send the print files to your local printer OR contact Daniel and ask him to submit the card files to a Staples store – or a printer of your choosing.
You’ll have to pay for the printing when you pick the order up – as well as for Christmas-y #10 envelopes (ie regular business envelope size). (Staples carries both red and green #10 envelopes.) When you sell the cards, please provide the purchasers with an envelope for each card.
Selling the cards
You might want to arrange a day (or days) and a time for card sales; then have a notice in the church bulletin – or arrange to make an announcement during the service, explaining the Congo Project and encouraging people to give these meaningful gifts to family and friends this year.
When you sell the cards, be sure to ask buyers to fill in their information on the donor form, so they can receive a receipt – for the full amount of their purchase – for income tax purposes. Then submit this completed form to ARDFC together with the money.
Where to send the money raised and the donor information:
Then, when you send the proceeds from the sale of the cards to ARDFC, just deduct your expenses (for printing and the envelopes) from the total you remit.
Also, when you send your cheque to ARDFC, please include the donor form – the list of names and contact information for the people purchasing the cards as they are entitled to receipts for income tax purposes. I simply ask people when they buy the cards to fill in the information the form – printing clearly!
