Past ARDF-Canada (ARDFC) emergency relief fund-raising efforts
Although ARDFC (ARDF-Canada) has only been in operation since the spring of 2010, ARDF, our partner aid agency in the US, has collected and distributed more than $1.5 million to address urgent disaster needs since its inception in 2004. In addition, ARDF has invested $4.9 million in 106 completed relief and development projects around the globe, winning the confidence and respect of Anglican Church leaders throughout the developing world.
To date, ARDF-Canada has channeled donations to help with relief efforts in the following disasters:
2011 – Japan tsunami and earthquake relief
More than $15,000 was channeled through ARDFC to help with Anglican Province of Japan, while ARDF, our US-based partner, sent $114,000 in donations to help meet the desperate needs in this area. The Provinces of Japan has provided us with photos of the disaster and some of the Church’s ministries.
2010 – Chile earthquake relief
ARDFC sent donations of more than $3000 to support the earthquake relief work undertaken by the Diocese of Chile. Through ARDF, our US-based partner, over $50,000 was channeled to help meet urgent needs in this area.
